Daily writing prompt
Describe one simple thing you do that brings joy to your life.
I’m not a perfect parent by any measure, however the thing that comes immediately to mind is that I intentionally stop and watch one or both of my kids as often as I can. Today, I stepped back to watch my almost two-year-old ‘feed’ a beanie-baby unicorn some fish from her play kitchen set. And I watched my six year old run over to give my dad a big hug. Amidst all the hustle and bustle of having two kids (or really any number of kids), I really try to savor these small moments. And it brings me so much joy because of the connection it builds.
